Kick-Ass Management

Image result for cruel king

A King had 10 wild dogs. He used them to torture & kill any minister that misguided him.

A Minister once gave an opinion that was wrong which the king didn’t like at all…
So he ordered that the Minister be thrown to the dogs.

The Minister said, "I served you loyally for 10 years & you do this..?"

The King was unrelenting.

Minister pleaded, "Please give me 10 days before you throw me to the dogs".

The King agreed.

In those 10 days, the Minister went to the keeper of the dogs & told him he wanted to serve the dogs for the next 10 days…

The Guard was baffled… But he agreed.

So the minister started feeding the dogs, caring for them, washing them, providing all sorts of comfort for them.

So when the 10 days were up…

The King ordered that the minister be thrown to the dogs as sentenced.

When he was thrown in, everyone was amazed at what they saw...
The dogs were wagging their tails playing with the condemned minister... licking his feet.

The King was baffled at what he saw, "What happened to the dogs?” He growled.

The Minister then said, "I served the dogs for only 10 days & they didn’t forget my service... I served you for 10 years & you forgot all at the first mistake”…

The King realized his mistake

and

Replaced the dogs with crocodiles !!

Moral: When Management has decided to kick your ass then no one can stop them... That's Final...

AN INSPIRING STORY OF THE PRESIDENT OF CHINA

Image result for noodles with egg

President Xi Jing Peng of China said:
.
As a small child, I was very selfish, always grab the best for myself.
Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault and I criticize others.
.
But my father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.
.
One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles and put them. on the table.
One had an egg on top while the other bowl had none on top.
Then he asked me to choose a bowl of noodles.

Because eggs were hard to come by those days... I chose the bowl with egg!

I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and decided to wallop the egg....to my surprise as my father's bowl of noodles had two eggs at the bottom of his bowl beneath the noodles!

With much regret, I scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision.

My father smiled and taught me to remember that what your eyes see may not be true.

He added that If you make a habit of *taking advantage of people, you will end up losing.
.
The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top.

Again, he asked to choose the bowl I wanted

This time I felt smarter so I chose the bowl without any egg on top.

Hmmmmmm to my surprise, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl!

Again, my father smiled and said to me, My child, you must not always rely on experiences because sometimes, life can cheat you or play tricks on you.

Never be too annoyed or sad, with situations, *just treat the experience as learning a lesson experience that cannot be gotten from any textbooks.
.
The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles,  one bowl with an egg on top and the other with no egg on top.

He asked me to choose the bowl I wanted

But this time, I told my father, Dad, you choose first, you are the head of the family and you contribute the most to the family.

My father was happy to and choose for me

He chose the bowl with one egg on top, but as I ate my bowl of noodles, to my surprise! There were two eggs at the bottom of the bowl.
.
My father smiled at me with love in his eyes, he said my child, you must remember that when you think for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to you.
.
I always remember these 3 sentences of my father.

            This is Absolutely Brilliant:

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

            THE PRAYING HANDS

Image result for the praying hands
The Praying Hands by Albrecht Durer

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for his big family, the father, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his shop and any other paying work he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of the eldest children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy.

            Image result for goldsmith

After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. The winner of the toss will attend the academy first and complete his study. Once, the first winner of the toss completes his study, he will help the other brother to attend the academy and support him financially by selling arts or working at the mines if necessary.

            Image result for mines

They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer, one of the brother won the toss and went off to Nuremberg. Albert, the other brother went to work at the mines and for the next four years, financed his brother, whose work at the academy was almost an immediate sensation. Albrecht’s etchings, his woodcuts, and his oils were far better than most of his professors. By the time he graduated, he was beginning to earn considerable fees for his commissioned works.

            Heavenly Scene by Albrecht Durer

When the young artist returned to his village, the Durer family held a festive dinner on their lawn to celebrate Albrecht’s triumphant homecoming. After a long and memorable meal, punctuated with music and laughter, Albrecht rose from his honored position at the head of the table to drink a toast to his beloved brother for the years of sacrifice that had enabled Albrecht to fulfill his ambition. His closing words were, “And now, Albert, blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream and I will take care of you.”

All heads turned in eager expectation to the far end of the table where Albert sat, tears streaming down his pale face, shaking his lowered head from side to side while he sobbed.

Finally, Albert rose and wiped the tears from his cheeks. He glanced down the long table at the faces he loved, and then, holding his hands close to his right cheek, he said softly, “No, brother. I cannot go to Nuremberg. It is too late for me. Look what four years in the mines have done to my hands! The bones in every finger have been smashed at least once, and lately, I have been suffering from arthritis so badly in my right hand that I cannot even hold a glass to return your toast, much less make delicate lines on parchment or canvas with a pen or a brush. My brother, for me, it is too late.”

More than 450 years have passed. By now, Albrecht Durer’s hundreds of masterful portraits, pen and silver-point sketches, watercolors, charcoals, woodcuts, and copper engravings hang in every great museum in the world, but the odds are great that you, like most people, are familiar with only one of Albrecht Durer’s works. More than merely being familiar with it, you very well may have a reproduction hanging in your home or office.

One day, to pay homage to Albert for all that he had sacrificed, Albrecht Durer painstakingly drew his brother’s abused hands with palms together and thin fingers stretched skyward. He called his powerful drawing simply “Hands,” but the entire world almost immediately opened their hearts to his great masterpiece and renamed his tribute of love “The Praying Hands.”

            Moral:
The next time you see a copy of that touching creation, take a second look. Remember the sacrifice others may have made for your success in life. Always, respect them and care for them as what they could have done for themselves, they did that for your happiness.

Summer is here and here are some useful lifestyle tips you can follow to beat the summer heat.
            Image result for scorching summer
            1. Water is the best option to quench thirst.
It is a key ingredient in keeping the body cool. With high humidity levels, sweat will not evaporate quickly. This prevents the body from releasing heat in an efficient manner. This is why it is necessary to hydrate and drink water, even when you are not thirsty. Increase water intake regardless of your activity levels.
            Image result for water
            2. Avoid caffeinated or carbonated beverages, alcoholic beverages, and those high in sugar.
All these drinks contain preservatives, colors, and sugars. They are acidic in nature and act as diuretics. They cause loss of fluids through urine. Many soft drinks contain diluted phosphoric acid, which damages the inner lining of the digestive tract and, therefore, affects its functions. An excessive intake of soft drinks increases phosphorous levels in the blood. This separates calcium from the bones and moves it into the blood. This calcium displacement from the bones makes them porous and brittle. It also causes plaque on the teeth, kidney stones, arthritis and bone spur. Soft drinks also reduce mineral levels in the body to such an extent that enzymes are unable to function well, resulting in indigestion.
            Image result for caffeinated drinks
            3. Do not drink very chilled liquids.
They do not really help cool you down in summers, though they make you cool for some time. Drinking really cold liquids when feeling hot may lead to a slight constriction of the blood vessels in the skin and decrease heat loss, which is not advisable when trying to cool down.
            Image result for iced water
            4. Limit all strenuous activity. Avoid doing vigorous physical activities so that your perspiration level remains good and you don't get dehydrated.
            Image result for strenuous exercise

            5. Eat light, nutritious and non-fatty meals. This is important to note as the body needs a regular amount of calorie intake but in summers, these intakes should be in the form of light, nutritious and hydrating meals.
Image result for light and nutritious food
            6. Reduce intakes of heaty vegetables and fruits, like spinach, radish, hot peppers, onions, garlic, beetroot, pineapple, grapefruit and ripe mangoes (if you cannot resist mangoes, soak them overnight in water).
            Image result for hot peppers
            7. Minimize the intake of dried fruits. Increase the intake of fresh fruit. Dried fruits are mostly heaty which heats up the body so try eating fresh fruits which will increase the body water and sugar levels.
            Image result for dry fruits

            8. Use sabza (tulsi seeds) in your drinks -- this has a very cooling effect on the body.
            Image result for tulsi seeds)

            9. Include lots of fruits and vegetables in the form of salads and fresh juices, preferably without sugar, in your diet.

            10. Drink lemon juice, coconut water, and thin buttermilk, to replenish the fluids that are lost in sweat.
            Image result for coconut water

            11. Avoid sugary foods, especially molasses and other artificial sugar substances, and stick to natural sugars available from fruits and veggies.
            12. Minimize the intake of hot, spicy foods and extremely salty foods. The body retains salt in the organic form found in fruits and veggies; the inorganic salt, meanwhile, is digested and needs to be thrown out of the body. And this is why you need to drink water!
            13. Cut the intake of fried foods, like vadas, samosas, chips, bhajias, farsans, etc. Fat has a thermal effect.
            Image result for fried foods
            14. Maintain good hygiene levels. This means that you should maintain proper hygiene, bath daily and properly so that the sweat and germs can be cleaned also you should apply talcum powder to avoid summer rashes.
            Image result for proper hygiene
Since the sultry heat of summer increases with each degree rise in the mercury, by rooting ourselves to nature's provision of healthful food choices we can experience the bloom of our health and vitality.
